Blossom Buds Early Learning (“Blossom Buds”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our obligations under the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.

Information we collect

We collect the information you choose to give us when you contact us, book a tour, join our waitlist, respond to one of our ads or enrol your child. This may include:

• your name, email address, phone number and suburb;
• your child’s name, age or date of birth, and the days and start date you’re interested in;
• details you share in an enquiry, tour booking or enrolment, including information needed for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and, at enrolment, your child’s health, medical and custody information;
• information about how you use our website, collected through cookies (see below).

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you: through our website forms, our online tour booking (Calendly), our waitlist and enrolment forms (Xplor), lead forms on Facebook and Instagram, and by phone, email or in person.

How we use it

• to respond to your enquiry, arrange and follow up your tour, and keep you informed about places and offers you asked about;
• to manage our waitlist, process enrolments and administer the Child Care Subsidy;
• to provide education and care to your child and meet our legal and regulatory obligations;
• to share updates with enrolled families through the Playground app;
• to understand how families find us and to improve our website and advertising.

If you’d prefer not to receive follow-up about places or offers, just tell us and we’ll stop.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to provide our services, with:

• service providers that host or process information for us, such as our website platform (Squarespace), tour booking (Calendly), childcare management and enrolment (Xplor), family communication (Playground), and our marketing agency;
• government agencies, such as Services Australia for the Child Care Subsidy and the Victorian Department of Education for kindergarten funding, or where the law otherwise requires it.

Some of these providers may store information outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technology, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel, to understand how visitors use the site and to measure and show our ads. These tools collect information such as pages visited and device type. They don’t receive the names or contact details you enter when booking a tour. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Google and Meta account settings.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep records for as long as needed or as required by law.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you or your child by contacting us. We’ll respond within a reasonable time.
